Reserving Spaces on TELRport

Reserve spaces on TELRport for hosting educational activities sponsored by Ohio State faculty, staff, and students.

There is no need to reserve public areas of the island, such as the sandbox, relaxation shore, Buckeye Leaf, and Mirror Lake. Tour TELRport to learn more about its areas.

To reserve a space, please review the TELRport Calendar to see what times are already taken, and then write to secondlife@osu.edu at least two business days prior to your event with the following information:

  1. The parcel you’d like to reserve.

    *Note, each parcel can display media (streaming audio and video pieces), an HTML Web page, and/or images.

  2. The date(s) and time(s) for your event(s).
  3. The educational purpose for your request.
  4. The number of individuals you expect to attend.
  5. Links to any media (audio, video, Web page) you wish to stream into the parcel.
  6. Whether you need to upload graphics or to place objects on the parcel. (Note, there is a $10L fee per image upload.)
  7. Whether the event is public or private. (If the event is private, please include a full list of avatar names.)
  8. Any additional support you may need.

You will receive a confirmation or a request for additional information from a TELRport representative. Upon approval, your event will be added to the TELRport Calendar on the Web and in-world.
